Saturday October 27th from 3pm to 5pm.
This will be the wrap up event for Tag Haunt, the October version of Snag the Tag. Twin Elder Brewery is allowing space for a bit of indoor socializing. It is October after all and the weather can be a trick or a treat, sometimes on the same day. If the weather is nice, there is a patio we can use.
Everyone is welcomed to the event. You do not have to participate in Tag Haunt to attend. Come and hang out before winter sets in. No purchase is necessary.
So, what is Tag Haunt?
10 glow in the dark tags will be hidden around the region*. These tags will be hidden near some of the area’s local ghost legends and creepy locations. The game starts October 20th with tags being published nightly up until the event on 27th Oct. Players are urged to sign up for notifications, and the tags will show up on the Tag Haunt game map: https://haunt.snagthetag.com/map.php
Finders claim their tag online and redeem it at the event for a matching Finders Edition geocoin (FE). The (trackable) geocoin and tag fit together to form the Soul Catcher! These Finder Edition geocoins are free to the person that finds the tags
20 15 Event Edition geocoins (EE) will be available to buy at the event. These are exclusive to the event and will not be available anywhere else
To ensure fairness only 1 Finder Edition tag/coin may be claimed by any single person
and a maximum of 2 Finder Edition tags/coins per geocaching team or family (there is nothing stopping you passing extra tags to friends)
The event will be from 3pm to 5pm and there is plenty of parking. No purchase is necessary. If you find a tag but can’t attend, message me and we can arrange something. If you are interested in buying an Event Edition geocoin, message me and I will put you on a list. I may enact a lottery system if demand is high.
* The exact locations won’t be set till the beginning of October, but the tags will not all be hidden in Monroe county. Expect to see some pop up in the surrounding counties.
