Geocache Description:

To celebrate International Earthcache Day we have choosen to visit Porth Amlwch. Anglesey is an internationally recognised Geopark, the first island ever to receive Geopark status. It covers some 720 square kilometres and has 201 kilometres of coastline. With rocks spanning 4 Eras and 12 Geological periods, 1,800 million years of history has fashioned more than 100 rock types.

Where: Porth Amlwch, Anglesey

When: Sunday 14th October

Time: 12-12.30pm

Come and join us for plenty of geochat, a paned and  some cake. After the event we invite all attendess to join us as we explore the geology of the area.

I ddathlu diwrnod rhyngwladol Earthcache, rydyn ni wedi penderfynu taro draw i Borth Amlwch yn Ynys Môn, sydd yn cael ei adnabod yn rhyngwladol fel Geopark, yr ynys gyntaf erioed i gyrraedd y safon. Mae'n cynnwyd ryw 720 cilometr sgwâr a 201 cilometr o arfordir. Mae yna greigiau yn hanu o 4 gyfnod a 12 cyfnod Daeareg, 1800 miliwn o flynyddoedd o hanes mewn 100 math o graig wahanol.
