Wootton Parkway @ Greenplace # RFC4648.xz Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

yoursunny: defund told me on 2020-05-29 that the cache is missing. I came to the location today and confirmed that the cache is not there. Given that I seldom visit Wootton Parkway these days, I cannot effectively maintain this cache. Therefore, this listing is being archived.

Georick402 admitted in his log that he threw the cache into the river. If you solved the puzzle but cannot find the cache, you know who to blame.

This cache has been active for 742 days since publication.
It had 6 finds and received 1 favorite point (17%).

I am revealing how to solve the puzzle in the attached picture. Please study closely as I may hide another in the future.

Geocache Description:

Dr. Thomas Sprigg Wootton (1740-1789) is a local resident, member of Maryland's first constitutional congress, and the first speaker of the Maryland House of Delegates. Wootton introduced a bill to divide Frederick county into three jurisdictions. The bill passed on September 6, 1776, creating new counties named for revolutionary war heroes Richard Montgomery and George Washington.

Cache is not at posted coordinates. You should get off the bus at posted coordinates. Final coordinates are given in this obfuscated text. Having a Linux system (e.g. Ubuntu, Windows Subsystem for Linux, Google Cloud Shell) will help tremendously. You’ll need a decoder for RFC4648 encodings and the ‘xz’ command.
