The sixth Annual Geelong Christmas Lunch.
DATE 8th December 2018.
WHERE The Playpark Sheepwash Road, Barwon Heads.
TIME 12- 1
Bring everything including a Chair & Table.
Two BBQ's and two tables are in the area. If the weather is not kind then as we know cachers are resourceful.
This area will teach you a little about the history of Jan Mitchell and her bollards in Barwon Heads. In the early 1990’s she created her first bollards here in Barwon Heads as part of an in school program. The bollards mark a safe bicycle path to and from the Primary School. We will not be looking for these colorful Soldiers/Officers and the Parrots (birds) section but you cannot help but notice them.
After Barwon Heads she took her concept and created the Bollards down at Geelong’s Western Beach and Waterfront where she has captured the history and citizens of this region and shown them to the world.
Most Geocachers will just place the co-ords into the GPS or phone and arrive at the Playpark where the BBQ's are situated. Coming from Geelong using Barwon Heads Rd turn left into Sheepwash Rd at the first roundabout and very shortly you will arrive on your right.
I have given you the co-ords of the shopping center where if you prefer something different from a BBQ then there are at least two Fish & Chips shops, two Bakeries and a number of Takeaway Shops and a Hotel around the corner.
You will not go hungry.
There will be a surprise method of choosing the FTF again but will not involve the White Beast and the keys will stay in my pocket.
Can we beat last years record attendance at this Event!!!!!.
