Geocache Description:

Mynarski.jpg

Pilot Officer Andrew Mynarski, VC, was part of 419 Squadron, Royal Canadian Air Force, based here at RAF Middleton-St-George. The whole story is told by the plaque at the feet of the statue in front of you. Take a while to read it. The building in front of you is currently unoccupied but there is no problem accessing the memorials, with the gate from the airport carpark left open. Parking is now no longer free, but for a quick park up and grab of the co-ords etc, go to N54 30.977   w001 25.604, where you should be able to park and have a wander along to the memorials .

The final location of the cache is at N54 30.ABC   W001 26.DEF, with the numbers from the description plaque at his feet.

A= How many letters in the destination that fateful night?

B= Number of letters in first name of the Captain minus the number of letters in the first name of Brophy

C= Number of letters in the last word on the plaque

D= June 1?

E= Number of letters in the month the cross was awarded

F= Number of letters in the tool used to hack away at the turret

Checksum = 34
