Geocache Description:

Warning: Coordinates updated 22 JAN 18. This is an easy cache in the Narbeck Wetland Sanctuary. It is on a fairly level path, and made purposely easy to find to avoid undue impact on the Sanctuary.

New Location 22 Jan 18 because the cache was missing and the old location was very exposed. The hint has been updated.

This cache is located in the Narbeck Wetland Sanctuary on Seaway Blvd. near the Boeing Everett plant. This is a beautiful park with a perimeter trail and boardwalks through the center. The evening we hid the cache, we saw a shrew, three deer and several rabbits. Since this is a wetland sanctuary, please be careful looking for the cache. The cache location is near the trail in a very typical cache hiding place. The real treasure is finding out about this sanctuary, so the cache is easy to find. Park at the lot off of Seaway Blvd. at N47 56.080, W122 15.656. Round trip from the parking lot across the boardwalks to the cache and back is about one mile.

Contrary to the signs, the boardwalks through the center of the sanctuary do connect to the back perimeter trail, so no need to walk all the way around. The cache is called the Narbeck Pen and Pencil Cache because the cache is an ammo box with an assortment of pencils. If you remember, bring an interesting pencil or pen to trade or donate, let's see how full we can get this box.

Interestingly, there is a letterbox cache within 200 feet of this geocache. It is called "The Frog With No Name". Go to www.letterboxing.org to find our more information on letterboxing.

Please re-hide the cache well as this cache has been muggled several times since it was first hidden in 2002.
