Geocache Description:

04 April 2019, 18:30 - 20:00

Welcome to First Thursdays in Columbia (FTIC) - our 23rd edition!

This is a monthly event on the first Thursday of every month in Columbia, Maryland.

Meet at the food court in the Columbia Mall, Thursday, April 4, from 6:30 - 8:00 pm. Look for us at the tables in front of Tutti Frutti's to the left of the escalators.

This is a simple meet and greet for geocachers in and around Columbia, Maryland. Anyone and everyone is welcome! We use this event for meeting fellow cachers, planning trips, recommending caches and giving tips, to name a few things.

There is a good variety of fast food restaurants in the food court in the mall for all tastes and desires.

I will wear a geocaching name tag for anyone that doesn't know me.

This month, we'll be doing something different!

As part of's Cache Carnival, we'll be celebrating geocache creativity by sharing stories about fun and unique hides. Think about the most clever and creative cache you have ever found — was it a tricky gadget cache? A mind-bending puzzle? A custom-built travel bug hotel? Or something completely different?

Once we've finished talking about caches we've found, we'll put our heads together, and plan a creative cache to hide right here in Columbia! Perhaps we can even take a "field trip" and look for cache supplies in the mall. Don't miss out on the fun!
