Geocache Description:

This linear sculpture is shaped to represent itself in a completely different form from each approach. By driving around the roundabout, the sculpture looks rotating.

The work of art is assembled by welding from two semicircular, bent stainless steel tubes so that the movement of the circle continues smoothly but stops perpendicular to the plane where the first arc is.

The surface of the tube is polished up by grinding it in the longitudinal direction, allowing sunlight to be amplified in the arc motion.

The artist is world famous Lucien den Arend.

He was born in the Netherlands in 1943, studied art in

California State University, Tilburg School of art and Willem de Kooning Academy.

He has been in the art field for five decades and has set up a permanent exhibition for Kangasniemi

around his house and studios: Penttilä Open Air Museum.

The cache itself is a bland PET-tube; let art speak for itself.

The cache has been authorized by owners of gas station
