Geocache Description:

This Educational Event (EduVent) is brought to you by the members of:

GeocacheAlaska! is working hard to promote Geocaching in Alaska! Please join us today!

Join us this evening as we honor members of our caching community who have qualified recently for the coveted Golden AmmoCan Award!

GeocacheAlaska! sponsors a member recognition program that awards Golden AmmoCans to qualifying Sourdough Members. This program is part of an effort to recognize those individuals who give back to the Alaska geocaching community through their participation in finding and placing geocaches, in serving on the Board of Directors, in hosting both regular and CITO events, and in acting as a presenter at GeocacheAlaska! Eduvents. As we honor these Sourdoughs this evening, learn how you may qualify to request a Golden AmmoCan of your own - a prestigious recognition of geocachers who have built up the geocaching game in Alaska!

Attendees are encouraged to bring along finger foods to share...
(cookies are great... so are brownies and anything else sweet and coated in delicious sticky stuff...)

Following the awards festivities, we'll settle in for an introductory round or two of Geocaching Trivia. Are you one of those people who have nooks and crannies in their brain stuffed full of memories and anecdotes about the weirdest things, like Geocaching? Do you suffer from mental lapses about when your best friend's birthday is, or when your spouse married you - but you'd never forget that minor detail about some historical aspect of the game we all love?  This social mixer / laughter generating event is going to stretch your knowledge about the history and folklore of geocaching, trackables, and GeocacheAlaska!  Come absolutely unprepared to this introductory session, with nothing but a pen to make your mark on the multiple-choice or fill-in-the-blank question/answer forms. Be prepared to win trackable prizes, laugh a lot, snicker a bit, and discover a Moun10Bike geocoin. Who knows - you might learn something! You might be a winner! You might confirm you're a loser!  You'll certainly have a blast with fellow gameplayers... as long as you get outside and get to this event!
