Les 21 arbres du Jardin Anglais
Turzunell35 ayant archivé la cache précédente, j'utilise le même spot avec son accord.
Historiquement un cimetière paroissial, le « jardin anglais » a été tracé en 1852 en mémoire de la colonie britannique. Il est situé sur la partie haute des remparts derrière la basilique Saint Sauveur d’où se découvre le superbe panorama de la vallée de la Rance (le port, le viaduc, la rivière) vers la mer.
Du même endroit, en regardant vers l'ouest, s'alignent les remparts, la porte du Jerzual, la tour du Gouverneur, la porte Saint-Malo, la tour Beaumanoir. Fleuri toute l’année, ce petit parc présente une jolie esplanade bordée d’arbres centenaires. On y trouve aussi un buste du célèbre explorateur Auguste Pavie (1847-1925), né dans la cité médiévale.
Les lacets du jardin anglais permettent de descendre au port de Dinan.
Labelisé « Ensemble arboré remarquable » en 2019, le Jardin Anglais compte 21 arbres.

The 21 trees of the English Garden

Historically a parish cemetery, the "English Garden" was created in 1852 in memory of the British colony. It is located on the upper part of the ramparts behind the Saint Sauveur basilica from where the superb panorama of the Rance valley (the port, the viaduct, the river) towards the sea can be discovered.
From the same place, looking west, the ramparts, the Jerzual Gate, the Governor's Tower, the Saint-Malo Gate and the Beaumanoir Tower line up. Flowered all year round, this small park has a pretty esplanade lined with century-old trees. There is also a bust of the famous explorer Auguste Pavie (1847-1925), born in the medieval city.
The laces of the English garden allow you to go down to the port of Dinan.
Labelled "Remarkable tree-lined complex" in 2019, the English Garden has 21 trees.
