Saturday July 13th - 7:30 a.m.
Please join us to show the Tucson Community the positive side of Geocaching and how Cache In Trash Out events impact our environment."
We'll be gathering at 7:15 AM (0715 for you military types) and beginning the cleanup @ 7:30 AM, just shy of the NE corner of North Ridgeway & Pima Str.
Parking is available just outside the apartment block wall. Just look for the group of people wondering around, unless you arrive there first.
From there we'll go on a clean-up walk for about one-half of a mile, depending on wash conditions. Our ETC (estimated time of completion) should be around 60-90 minutes.
Trash bags, some gloves, grapplers, and cold water will be provided. Please remember to bring supplies to make the day safer (sunscreen, extra CITO supplies, your favorite gloves, hats, smiley face, etc.) Hiking footware recommended.
As with most Arizona CITOs, be prepared to wear the proper clothing/footware as the wash banks can be steep with loose dirt/rocks as well as having lots of carnivorous plants, sticky thorny brush & sharp treasures hidden in the sand. Think Safety!
As many of you already know Southern Arizona Geocachers have officially adopted this stretch of the Alamo Wash, partnering with Tucson Clean & Beautiful.
Checkout the Tucson Clean & Beautiful website if you are interested in adopting an area: https://tucsoncleanandbeautiful.org/adopt-a-park-public-areas/
Special Thanks to all of you who have helped in prior CITO events, and we look forward to all who can help make this one a success!
