Everyone in Ireland knows that Kilkenny is famed for its obsession with hurling. They have won the most Senior All Ireland Hurling titles of the 12 counties that compete, and at the time of publication, their haul of 36 championships is 6 more than 2nd placed, Cork which is a much larger county.
After a spell of dominance between 1974 and 1994, their women's Camogie team faded from power but did return to winning All-Irelands in 2016 and after three lost finals, were champions again in 2020.

This imposing statue made from Kilkenny limestone is dedicated to all who hurl for Kilkenny, and was unveiled by their legendary manager Brian Cody in May 2016. It was sculpted by Clareman, Barry Wrafter.
To log this virtual, you must strike a hurling pose in front of the statue and post this picture in your found it log

If you can acquire a hurl (as the stick is called in the Marble City) or a sliothar (Hurling ball) as a prop that would be a goal (3 points), but copy the statue figures and you will score a point.
Try to get the castle in the background too as the view from the bridge here over the Nore is special!
