Geocache Description:

Cēsu Lejas kapos atrodas aptuveni 200 karavīru kapi, kur atdusas Pirmajā pasaules karā kritušie latviešu, krievu, vācu, poļu tautību karavīri, kā arī Latvijas atbrīvošanas cīņās kritušie 5. Cēsu kājnieku pulka un citu Latvijas karaspēka daļu karavīri; igauņi, boļševiku terora upuri un latviešu sarkanie strēlnieki. Brāļu kapi tika izveidoti Pirmā pasaules kara laikā – 1914. gada 12. decembrī. There are about 200 soldiers buried in Cesis Lejas cemetery. In the cemetery lay soldiers of Latvian, Russian, German, Polish nationalities killed in World War I, as well as soldiers of the 5th Cēsis Infantry Regiment and men from other Latvian battalions. Also Estonians, victims of Bolshevik terror and Latvian red riflemen are buried there. The "Brāļu kapi" were created during the First World War on December 12, 1914.
