Geocache Description:

Gbr : Saladelle (or lavender of the manadiers), salicorne and soude form a trio of so-called halophyte plants (supporting high concentrations of salt) which reigns on the coast of the Camargue. The saladelle (of which the so-called Girard species is endemic to this littoral) is the most emblematic. It flowers in August and lines the dry ponds with a purple coat. Happiness for all, it accompanies every moment of life: It sits in every room of houses sometimes bouquets dense and voluminous, sometimes in discrete strands slipped as a last offering to the photos of our missing. She clings to the buttonholes and brooches of the kerchiefs. Fine vegetal companion of joys and sorrows, she is present at baptisms and, eternally young, the flower that never fades, covers the tombs like a wink to eternity.
