Geocache Description:

English

Sainte-Brigitte was an old canton of the parish of Cléguérec. The church of St. Brigitte dates from the seventeenth and early eighteenth century. Inside, there is a rich altarpiece and one of the altars is dedicated to Saint-Eloi, the patron saint of blacksmiths. The fountain of the lower town bears witness to the evolution of this pretty village: in the 15th century, the family of Rohan established a steel industry in Quénécan forest thanks to the presence of water, wood and iron ore. This activity experienced a considerable boom from 1802. In the nineteenth century, the town had between 700 and 800 inhabitants, against 170 today.

The posted coordinates take you to the bell tower:

A. How many bells can be seen?

B. How many steel bands are used to secure the bell to the wooden beam?

C: How many concrete beams span the gap in the bell tower underneath the bell?
