[FR]

Less well known than the atrocities at Oradour s/Glane or Tulle, the massacre at Pont Lasveyras in Beyssenac, Correze is also another sad example of the brutality of Nazis during WW2. On 16th February 1944, 40 young members of the Resistance lost their lives.

This memorial site, opened in 2013, contains a dozen information boards explaining the history of this Resistance Camp (and info about the wildlife you will see there!).

The 1st cache in the series commemorates the work of RAF 138 Squadron (SOE) who dropped agents & supplies to help the Resistance in this area between 1941 - 1944.
