Geocache Description:

02 February 2020, 18:00 - 19:00

Weird dates, odd occurences, all are possible reasons to hold a geocaching event.  Some people love them, some people don't.  Me, I am a meh.  But this one seemed cool so here goes:  a geocaching event to celebrate a palindrome date the world over (02/02/2020).  Some dates this year seemed interesting like 9/10/19 thru 9/19/19 but they only work in America since most of the rest of the world would write the date 10/9/19.  But this date works around the cube.

This will be a low-key event for local geocachers to get together, meet one another, tell geocaching stories, swap and discover TBs and generally have a good time.  Obviously this is the first and last event on this date.  I would make it annual but you know...

YOU, of course...whether you have zero finds or ten thousand cache finds, please feel free to come join us for an informal meet and greet.

Sunday, February 2, 2020 (AKA 02/02/2020)
6:00 PM - 7:00 PM (come when you want, leave when you want)

Homeslyce Columbia, 9400 Snowden River Parkway, Columbia, MD. You are on your own for the cost of food and drink. The pizza is pretty good here along with the sandwiches. And they have a pretty good tap selection too.

To celebrate a weird date, eat pizza, drink beer, and talk geocaching.

Extra things to keep in mind:

  • If you pick up a Travel Bug or trackable coin at an event, make sure you log it out so it doesn't show up in the event list. Please do not leave a trackable in the event unless you have arranged with another attendee to take the trackable.
