The Friendly City of Port Elizabeth is looking to host the biggest Geocaching bash the Eastern Cape has ever seen, and you are invited.
The Bay Cache Bash takes place on 26 September 2020 at the 1st Walmer Scout Hall in Fordyce Road, Walmer in Port Elizabeth, starting at 08:00. Even though the official ending time shows as 15:00, there will be activities taking place at the venue all day long. These activities include talks, presentations, competitions, fun and lots of socialising. Stalls will feature Geocaching stalls, caching accessories, travel info, crafts, and food stalls. Fill up on information and tummy fuel before heading out to enjoy the fabulous caching, sights and sounds Port Elizabeth and surrounds have to offer.
The Bay Cache Bash is more than just a one-day event. It will be preceded by a whole week's caching activities, events, and outings in the surrounding areas and towns, so why not make a Geocaching holiday of it and spend the whole week, or at least a long weekend (Thursday 24 Sept is a public holiday after all) in the area.
Announcements around the week's program will be published on the following platforms as it becomes available:
