Geocache Description:

XMAS2019-08 Tomtemor

Hon populariserades av poeten Katharine Lee Bates i hennes dikt Goody Santa Claus on a Sleigh Ride (tomtemor på slädtur) (1889).

This is geocache no 8 in a series of 24,
a kind of Geocaching-Christmas Calender for the Christmas of 2019.
The remaining 23 are placed in various locations all over Sweden.

The wife of Santa Claus is first mentioned in the short story "A Christmas Legend" (1849), by James Rees.
In the story, an old man and woman, both carrying a bundle on the back, are given shelter in a home on Christmas Eve as weary travelers.
The next morning, the children of the house find an abundance of gifts for them.
