Firefox.3’s FoxFest Camping Weekend IV

If you have previously attended one of my camping events, then you know what's in store. If you haven't been before, come along, let your hair down and enjoy a weekend of socialising, caching, camping and plenty of fun.

The event has grown year on year.  The first two years were held near Holmfirth, but we soon outgrew that site.  2019’s event was held at the wonderful Sycamore Farm rally field, and a cracking weekend it was too.  So, to accommodate all you lovely campers, we’re returning to Cheshire.

As it is a Bank Holiday Friday weekend, let's make it a long weekend and spend an extra day caching, chilling and BBQing.

Friday 8th May 2020, arrivals from 1pm

Monday 11th May 2020, depart by 12pm

(3 nights)

Sycamore Farm

Soss Moss,

Chelford Road,

Nether Alderley,

SK10 4TU

The Rally Field is in a beautiful location, very private, surrounded by fields and trees with a small stream running along one edge. Dogs are welcome, and there is even an on-site dog walk.

Also on site is a Marquee with solid flooring and electricity, tables and chairs.

The rally field is big enough for approx 60 caravans, motorhomes and tents.

There is a limited amount of EHU. EHU is on a first booked/paid first served basis, it's the only fair way I can do it. £16.50 per night with EHU, £13 per night without EHU. Unfortunately, the use of EHU splitters is not permitted.

There are toilets, showers and water points in the rally field, and a elsan point, too.

The nearest supermarkets are a couple of miles away in Alderley Edge.

Friday Night

Friday night is quiz night!  Time to get the old brain cells working.  I promise it will be easier than last year's.

Meet up in the marquee for drinks and chat. Catch up with cachers you haven't seen all year.

And, let's have a raffle!

Day visitors welcome from 6pm onwards.

Bring your Ukuleles.

Saturday Night

We have done 80’s disco nights, so time to go even further back in time for a 60’s/70’s themed night.  I bet most of you still have a pair of flares, a tie-dyed t-shirt and silver stacker boots in the back of your wardrobes!  There is so much fun to be had dressing up in a big-hair wig, star shaped sunglasses and spandex pants!

As always, there is only one person who can do a caching disco justice!  He had you all up dancing into the small hours at the Yorkshire Mega 18….We didn’t stop dancing to the fabulous music played at 2019’s FF3 event.  So, lights, music and more dancing are on the cards for another brilliant night with DJ Phil!

No need to slave over a hot stove, bring provisions and we'll have a Jacob's table.

Of course, day visitors are always welcome, from 6pm onwards

Why not stay an extra night?  Spend the day caching, visit one of the local attractions or just chill on the rally field.  Then, round the weekend off with a relaxed BBQ with your caching friends.

Somewhere, in and amongst all this, there will be a raffle, and I'm sure I will rope some of you into my party games!
