Do you love awesome, epic, amazing geocaching trips, but hate to do the planning?
Do you even have a plan?
Do you just "wing it"?
Don't you wish there was a better way?
Well, as it turns out, there is!
If you haven't used Cachetur yet, you are missing out! Cachetur is an official API partner with Groundspeak. It offers a free website and app that will integrate with geocaching.com and help you take your cache lists and turn them into awesome trip plans! It has the ability to create routes for you, create a time schedule, add custom waypoints (like your friend's house to pick them up, hotels and gas stops), and pretty much everything you can think of! And, when you get that perfect trip planned, you can easily share it with your geocaching friends!
Join us in the Community Room of the West Valley Branch of the San Jose Public Library, 1243 San Tomas Aquino Rd. on Saturday, January 4th, from 10:30 - 12:00. The Community Room is just inside the main doors and to the right.
Before this GBA sponsored event, if you don't already have a free account on cachetur.no, we recomends that you set one up. There's a YouTube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fQuEH90ylvo if you need some help with it.
If you want to try things as they are discussed during the presentation, bring a laptop. However, you are welcome to come to just listen and take notes, then try it when you get home. Here's a link to Cachetur's YouTube channel, if you would like to play around with the site a bit before the presentation. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCThJJ2v5clIDo-N-zPm7dYg/videos.
