An Event to Celebrating 20 Years of Geocaching in England
Where better to celebrate this moment in time than where it occurred
This event is taking place very close to the place the first container placed in England

Cache Site History
The First Cache GC4E was placed on the 6th of June 2000 by an American called Steve
The Cache page for the first cache is still available to be viewed - a striped down version
The site of the first cache is commemorated by a plaque, at ground level and currently hiding under a nettle fronds and years of mulch. A mission to find it would be good
If there is a list of those who found the first cache is available, can a copy be sent

The 10th Anniversary, 6th of June 2010
This site was revisited for the 10th Anniversary Event GC253NT, 29 logged as attended How many of those who attended that event will make this one?
To coincide with this Event a Multicache was released, GC29W7J, England's Geocaching Shine and it is still going strong, its owner is "Goldpot"
