Welcome to the first CITO in the City of London and on Leap Day.
Meet at the steps to the Thames at 11.00am for a safety and schedule briefing for this beach cleaning CITO. Low Tide at 11:26 today, it gives us the opportunity to safely reach the beach to pick up plastic litter on the shore. Paper pickers and plastic bags are provided, if you can bring your own that will be helpful.
The beach that we are working is on soft sand, brick rubble, flint and broken glass, but it is all clean. Wear sturdy footwear, gloves and clothing that you won't mind getting splashed. Surfaces will be slippery from green algae, but with care we should have a good day. Children must be supervised at all times and it is recommended that we work in groups or pairs. Please remember to sign in and out so that we can account for everyone who attends. Let’s clean and leap to joy!
