Sa Via Verda esta hecha aprovechando el antiguo trazado del tren que unía Manacor con Artá, pasando por San Llorenç des Cardassar, Son Carrió y Son Servera. El resultado es un nuevo camino fácil y seguro de 29 km. de longitud que recorre el interior de la isla, donde se alternan los campos de agricultura tradicional y el bosque mediterráneo de los cerros que sorteaba el tren en su búsqueda del camino más llano .
