Geocache Description:

On February 25, 2020 Popular geocaching wizard BounceBounce8 appeared on the podcast “Gadget Talk” where he provided an hour long instruction session on how to build this cache. Well a variation of it anyway. At the end of the podcast viewers were instructed to build this cache and publish it for others and the first 3 will get an undisclosed prize. I am gunning for that prize!

What is so great about this gadget cache is the simplicity of it. There are no moving parts, no programming, no fancy wiring. But the possibilities to expand on the basic idea are immense. I wanted to create this cache so that other cachers that might normally be afraid of electronics could see that it does not have to be crazy complicated to be fun and engaging. Like BounceBounce8, I hope that it might inspire another cacher or two in the area to try building other gadget caches. You never know where the creativity might lead to next. If anyone is interested but needs a little help or guidance message me. I would be happy to help.

To access this cache you will need a 9v battery and the following reference chart:

Black = 1
White = 2
Pink = 3
Red = 4
Purple = 5
Green = 6
Yellow = 7
Orange = 8
Blue = 9
Teal = 0

Notice: This area may contain hazards such as poision oak, ticks, or snakes. It is generally an unused green space and thuse no longer maintained. The cache is located near a delapidated and unused railroad track. Don't wory the train no longer runs on this track and you're not in any danger. There is a trail/dirt road that paralells the tracks. I have marked the best location to park. I would recommend parking on Laughlin as there is good parking and far less traffic than West Road.
