Geocache Description:

05 June 2021, 11:30 - 13:30

You are invited to join us for a Community Celebration Event and Swag Swap at the Kiwanis Park in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine, on Saturday, June 5 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. This event is part of a limited release of Community Celebration Events to celebrate 20 years of geocaching. These special events will be hosted until December 31, 2022, and will enable cachers around the world to commemorate this geocaching anniversary with a new icon and souvenir.

In addition to the Swag Swap, we will also have a picnic, a game or two, a trackables table (where you can drop off, discover, and/or pick up travelers), and NEW CACHES AND ADVENTURE LABS PUBLISHED THE DAY OF THE EVENT!!  We will also have a "new" trackable for discovery; his name is Fred, and I think he is an uncle to Signal.

So what is a Swag Swap?  This event is a place to bring all of your spare, unwanted, or excess Geocaching collectibles, swag, cache containers, camo tape, log books, event t-shirts, trackables, Geowoodstock memorabilia, and anything else (Geocaching related) that you would like to swap, donate, get rid of, or trade for something different. For each item you bring for trading, you will receive a "ticket" to exchange for an item of equal value. NOTE: No one is obligated to bring items to trade, but the more items we have, the more fun it will be!

The grand prize will be a loaded ammo can-- ready-to-hide with log and swag. (We would appreciate prize donations for a drawing if anyone would like to help.)

We will be abiding by Maine state Covid-19 regulations for the safety of the attendees.

FOOD: Due to Covid-19 precautions, we are keeping the picnic simple this year. Bring whatever you would like for your own food, beverage, and utensils.

There are many opportunities for caching and hiking in the area.   Event will be held rain or shine, because it will be under cover.  Bring your own chair if you want something more comfortable than picnic table seats.  Please respond if you are able to attend. We hope to see you!  Bring a new geocacher, a muggle friend, or a family member
