Dan Nicholas Park
Come out and join us in celebrating 20+ years of Geocaching. We are looking forward to seeing everyone and sharing some fun, food, and fellowship. You know the stories only get better over time, lol.
We will provide hot dogs, condiments, plates, cups, and ice. We ask that anyone who plans on eating please bring a drink and a side to share. Please indicate in your log if you plan to eat, and how many will be in your group if they do not have a separate Geocaching account.
11 am: Meet at Shelter 6, sign the log, play some games or just meet/talk with friends both new and old
11:30 am: Hot dogs should start coming off the grill.
12:15 pm: Group photo
12:30 pm: Announce prize winners
There are plenty of picnic tables at the reserved shelter, but feel free to bring your own chairs if you wish to spread out. The event officially ends at 1 pm but we have the shelter until 2 pm. I'm sure some of us will still be catching up with each other till then.
Cell service can be spotty in the park so be sure to bring your GPS or download off-line maps for any caches you plan to search for. We also plan on having a few new caches for everyone to find.
COVID-19 Disclaimer: EAT AND/OR GATHER AT YOUR OWN RISK. We will comply with current COVID-19 guidelines at the time the event is held. That may result in a change in plans regarding food and/or activities. We will provide hand sanitizer and everyone will be required to utilize it before going through the food line. We ask that if you, or anyone in your family, are not feeling well, or have any kind of illness symptoms, then please stay home.
This event is sponsored by the North Carolina Geocachers Organization.
