Let's have some summer fun in our very own backyard paradise!
We stumbled upon this stunning hidden gem a couple of years back while caching (thanks Onslow Fisherman) and I haven't been able to get it out of my head since. At the time the group of us vowed to come back in summer, however the unfortunate events of 2020 have scuppered those plans. Roll on 2021, a fresh start for some more positive memories.
Date Saturday 20 February 2021
Time 1.00PM - 3.00PM
Please bring:
- A picnic lunch,
- Fluids to keep hydrated in the sun
- Sunscreen
- A smile
If you have an outdoor cricket set or badminton setup and feel like a game feel free to bring it.
The water nearby is lovely to paddle in or to go for a "chunky dunk" if you feel that way inclined!
There are toilets nearby as well as a picnic table.
As this event is being held beside the Pomahaka River, small children will need to be supervised at all times.
Please note: if the weather is terrible this will be rescheduled.
