Camp Golden Pond has lost the code to open our mailbox. Not only that! Brownie Sprites stole and hid our mailbox because they were jealous that no one ever writes them letters and all they ever get is bills!
One of the good sprites gave us these coordinates. Can you help us out?
To get to the cache, start at the camp entrance (5126 Eberle Rd) and park in the main parking lot (left out of the traffic circle).
Important Note: None of the geocaches at Camp Golden Pond will take you ask you to open any building, cabinet, etc. If you are off trail or encounter a “posted/no trespassing/trail closed” sign, you are in the wrong place. Some trails may be overgrown.
Seasonal Note: During winter, the camp road is not plowed.
In 1988 Hemlock Girl Scout Council dedicated Lake Louise at Camp Golden Pond “with the hope that Lake Louise at Camp Golden Pond will be a source of fun and fond memories for Girl Scouts for many generations.” In 2018, Girl Scouts in he Heart of PA divested themselves of the camp and the camp is now operated by Friends of Golden Pond, a public charity dedicated to keeping this amazing resource available to the public.
While the primary visitors to Camp Golden Pond are Girl Scout, Scouts BSA, and other youth organizations, the camp is open to the general public.
