Geocache Description:

06 August 2020, 18:30 - 19:30

Welcome to First Thursdays in Columbia (FTIC)!

This is a monthly event on the first Thursday of every month in Columbia, Maryland.

Meet at the Symphony Woods parking lot just south of the Columbia Mall, Thursday, August 6, 2020 from 6:30 - 7:30 PM.
Although we’ve normally met at the food court in the Columbia Mall, because of our social distancing concerns during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we’ve moved the location this month to the parking lot in the northwest corner of the Symphony Woods venue. Bring your mask/face covering to wear and protect others.

If you want to bring food, there is a good variety of fast food restaurants in the food court in the mall for all tastes and desires.

Large trees on the hill leading from the parking lot to the Symphony Woods stage should provide shade if the evening is hot and sunny.  There is also one rickety picnic table at the edge of the parking lot.  If you would like to sit during the event, consider bringing a folding chair or seat.

This is a simple meet and greet for geocachers in and around Columbia, Maryland.  Anyone and everyone is welcome!  We use this event for meeting fellow cachers, planning trips, recommending caches and giving tips, to name a few things.

This month's discussion topics will be:  Your caching highlight of this past Summer.  Caching goals for the Fall.
