### Geocache Description:

Counting on You – Field Trip.         A limited series about numbers.

The coordinates needed to start your field trip for this multi-stage puzzle cache are included within the numbers set out below in order, but interspersed among the other numbers.  The solved coordinates end with the last digit 2Unlike all of the other puzzles in the Counting on You series, the solution for the Stage One coordinates  DOES NOT start with the first digit in the puzzle. There are 14 numbers in the solved coordinates, in standard decimal minute format.  (NN nn.nnn  WW ww.ww2)  If you want some guidance about working through this puzzle, see the Kinderfun cache that starts this set of themed geocaches but note that this cache uses a different series of numbers.  Solving the puzzle requires you to understand what series is used, and then use that series to find the coordinates as you work through the puzzle from beginning to end.  The endless series used in this cache is one of the most well-known mathematical constants.  Mathematician William Schaaf said about it “probably no symbol in mathematics has evoked as much mystery, romanticism, misconception and human interest...”

After you solve the puzzle on the cache page, gather your gear and go to Stage One, where the right choice will yield a dark and wet path that eventually brings you to a small bit of light where you will find the field puzzle.  Waterproof shoes, a hat, at least 2 sources of light, a notebook, pen, a plastic ziplock bag for your phone, and another geocacher to go with you are all suggested.  Please do not take anything in the field puzzle apart since the goal is to keep it intact and waterproof for other cachers to discover.  There are no hidden things to find.  The field puzzle requires some thought and logic, but the information you need to get the coordinates for the next stage will be revealed when you sort through the information that you get along the way.

After you complete the field puzzle, retrace your steps to where you started and make your way to a convenient parking location for the last two stages.  Stage two will give you a chance to stretch your legs and limber up.  After finding the stage two container you will be given the coordinates for the final cache location.
