The North Texas Geocachers Assn. (NTGA) is coming to Austin for a weekend of caching, and asked if we could have an event together. Thus the big change. NEW DATE: Saturday, Nov 2. Here's the NEW plan:
Mark "lowracer" Gessner has indicated to me that the area around the Vista Pond cache is in great need of a cleanup due to our summer floods. We are issuing a call for a CACHE IN TRASH OUT party to be held at 9 a.m. Please come help! Park at the Canyon Vista Middle School parking lot, approx. coords. N30 25.639 W97 47.134. I figure 20 folks and as many trashbags could get that place ship-shape in no time, don't you?? If you wish to suggest a different time please do so!
NOTE amended 10-17-02: Someone from Travis County will be coming talk to us, not sure who but please come and make them welcome!
Dinner will be at the Northside Golden Corral on North Lamar 1/2 block north of Rutland at 7 P.M. The coords for this event cache now reflect the dinner location. Parking for the cleanup is stated above.
