Join me on a social hike in the Crevasse-Moraine area!

We'll meet in the parking lot at 10:00 and give attendees until 10:30 to show up and socialize. Depending on group size, we will hike as one unit or split into smaller groups. 

This is meant to be a social hike, and hikers can go at whatever pace they'd like on the trail! Come make some caching friends, or say hi to the ones you already have. There are over 9 miles of trails in this area, so we there is no set trail for this event; we can decide as we hike!

Please note, there is a $5 parking fee at the trailhead unless you have a Mat-Su Borough Parking Pass (different from the Alaska State Parks parking pass)

Note: This is a hike in winter. It is up to the cacher to make sure they have appropriate gear for any hike in Alaska. For January, I would recommend gloves, hat, a buff, and layers depending on temperature. Depending on icyness, I would recommend microspikes for traction. 

As always, please take your own personal safety seriously and don't come just for the smiley. Those who are considered a vulnerable population are recommended to continue staying home. Facial coverings/masks are strongly recommended. Always sanitize your hands if soap and water are not available. And keep your distance from others who are not in your immediate household!
