February Friday Parking Lot Event
Usually I host a big event in late February. Sadly that can't happen this year; but, we can still get together for a short while. We are still in the "Year of the Parking Lot". We will be outside, wearing masks, with plenty of room for 10 foot or more separation.
As long as I had to make changes I also switched weekends and days. I am in my 15th year of Geocaching and have attended 157 events. Not one of them has been in Iowa on the 19th of the month. This event will fix that. I am guessing there are others who will like this date too. See you there. We could even have a group picture. I will be wearing a mask so nobody will recognize me.
You do not need to sign the log sheet. Look for the Gold Equinox. I will write your name down. If I don't know your caching name please tell me. I am terrible with names.
I borrowed a few nicely worded paragraphs from another event: Thanks DCR Boys.
Due to the uptick of recent COVID cases, please attend at your own comfort level. If that means parking and hoping out and visiting with folks while wearing a mask or just doing a drive by, it all works for me. Just please DO NOT attend if you are not feeling well or have been around someone who is not feeling well or have been exposed to the virus the past 14 days.
I will not have a sign in sheet to reduce the risk of transference, so just make sure I see you between 12 and 12:30pm at the posted coordinates. If I don't know you, please introduce yourself using your GC handle and you're all good.
