Geocache Description:

23 January 2021, 09:00 - 10:30

G4 (Gaithersburg Germantown Geocaching Gathering) - CITO (Cache In Trash Out)

We are back at Stewartown Park again this month for the third time. This poor park has got to be the worst I've seen so far in the county. We picked up a large amount of trash here in both November and December, but the waterway is a mess and still needs some help. Bring waterproof footgear if you have it as we will be working around the stream most of the time. There are at least four shopping carts down there, a bed frame, and all sorts of other interesting items. If you show up a little late and don't see anyone, head to the back of the park through the woods to the waterway. There is a map below that shows the two parking areas and the approximate location of the waterway.

Important: To comply with Montogmery County Parks volunteer guidelines all participants must fill out a waiver that can be downloaded from this link (if it doesn't work, send me a message and I'll send the PDF). You can either send the completed form back to me or print it and bring it to the CITO event.
