In order to celebrate the annual geocaching CITO, I have scheduled a CITO event to clean up along the Ogden River. The place where we have parked before has been blocked off, so note the new parking location, south of the meeting place. We will clean eastward and westward from the starting location. We will meet at 11:00 am at the given coordinates, where there is plenty of parking.
Last year's CITO event was cancelled due to this pandemic. We are recovering this year. Right now, Weber County has a meeting limit of 25 people with masks required. I have placed this event later in the year so that it is more likely that group size restrictions will be loosened. Keep checking this listing for updates.
I plan on bringing bags, you can bring some, just in case. You may want to bring gloves.
The trail is stroller and wheelchair friendly, but retrieving the trash will not likely be friendly to wheels. You can certainly come and enjoy the company of others, but just be aware that you will most likely need a reaching tool to be able to retrieve trash. We will be staying near the trail, but get any trash that you see off of the trail. Add half a star if you go off trail to get trash. We will be taking it at a leisurely pace.
Here is a list of geocaching souvenirs for this year.
