Geocache Description:

Here is an interesting little bit of Iowa history. We found this while driving to Wisconsin on a one day junket. We had just finished finding the Cardinal Marsh Games cache and spotted a small sign along the highway, pointing us to this location. It looked interesting and so we visited the site. The architecture of the ruins of the church consists of a curious mix of brick and limestone. This is well worth the few minutes that it takes to get off the highway and see it. I hope you enjoy this stop as much as we did.

There are two questions to answer to log the find. (1) Who was the head stone mason that built the church? (2) When was Mary Franke born? Please send your answers to me for approval to log your find.
