Geocache Description:


Village Hall, Hoveringham

 

This cache is part of a series of caches which are placed at or near village halls and community centres.

Hoveringham Village Hall like many in the area, originally started life as the village school and was built in 1845. The main hall was built in 1907 as a Mens Institute and cost £978 which was raised by public subscription.

£650,000 was spent restoring the hall in 2009 to a useable space you see today.

There are two dates on the bench outside. The first date is ABCD.
