Geocache Description:

11 June 2021, 09:00 - 11:30

George Street Middle School (GSMS) will be hosting a SPARK Day for those students who want to learn about Geocaching.  Friendly Forager and I have been tasked to organise an Introduction to Geocaching for 20-25 Grade 7 students.  We will break these lucky muggles into four or five groups and each will require an experienced cacher to assist and advise each team.

The session will include a short group presentation indoors and then live field work in smaller groups.  The session is broken down into two parts on two separate days.  The schedule is thus:

0930-  1000  Introduction to geocaching by ranger170 PPT & handheld geo thingys assisted by FriendlyForager

0100 -1130 assign an experienced cacher to groups.  Do Live caching in downtown core.  List of caches will be provided so you can have them loaded onto your GPS.

SECOND SESSION Friday 18Jun 2021 0915-1115  Probably Odell Park .  RV at the Cameron Court buildings. TBC

My Ask:  Looking for some volunteers who can assist us on Tuesday 0900 to noon.  Please log your willingness to be a volunteer in your “Will Attend” log.  Be prepared to tell the group why you like geocaching, or the tale of the find of a Favourite Cache.  Questions may be directed to either ranger170 or FriendlyForager.
