I like to name caches in honor of those I love - and this is one of those! "Salty" is my current nickname for my younger sister, AKA Jo-Ay, GS or Dode. I have always been the "mountain girl", and Salty is the "Ocean Girl". I doubt she would have much of a hankering to climb up this "huffer", as she would call it, but the view is amazing, and she would definitely love to see it.
Park at the little pull out two switchback ramps down the Willow side from Summit Lake at start around the corner, up the steep slope past the rock slide of a few years ago. Those who are relatively huffer-proof might want to go up the steep climb directly toward the cache, on the northwest side of the prominent rock outcropping. The somewhat easier way would be to curl around to the southeast of the rocks above and come at it from that side. In either case, the cache is above the outcropping, on the saddle below the ridge above April Bowl. In fact, you could approach it from that way too, and work your way down to it. You'll find the cache under a short cairn. Please repplace as you found it, so the critters don't raid it.
