Murraysburg Meander.
Andrew Murray (Born Scotland 1794; died Graaff-Reinet 1866)
A Presbyterian minister, Murray responded to a call to South Africa which was in need of Calvinist clergy to serve the N.G. Kerk. He arrived at the Cape in July 1822, having studied Dutch in advance, and settled (in the famed Reinet House) in Graaff-Reinet, a town he was to serve as minister for 45 years. Murray married a local girl, was a father to 16 children and dedicated himself to his calling with dilligence and puritanical piety.
