Trivia: Athena is the first of my three Chihuahuas. We would take long walks together on this very path but as she grew older, we stopped coming here. So being in this area reminds me so much of her. She lived 14.5 years and was born in 2001. This cache is planned for release to honor her birthday on August 20.
Mission: With minimal information you navigate to Ground Zero and inspect the limited options you have to be searched. Hopefully, you are on the correct side of the fence and at the right elevation that will afford you access to the cache.
Area: This is near a county trail that goes under a bunch of trees, near a tall brick wall and parking lot above, has a small stream nearby, and some long metal fencing. People will appear quietly around the blind corners of the trail so keep your head on a swivel so you do not get caught while you are in that area. It will help to bring your prior cache experience with you.
Cache Update: 20 Nov 2022 - The original cache and the decoy both went missing at the same time. A new cache has been placed but not the same type so PAF may not work for you this time. It is goig to be just as hard to find as before.
Cache Update: 01 Dec 2022 - The original cache was located nearby and put back in play. The replacement cache removed having never been found.
Cache Update: 11 Aug 2023 - The original cache went missing again. A new cache has been placed but not the same type so PAF may not work for you this time. It is goig to be just as hard to find as before. I will wait for the bees to sleep in the winter and search for the original.
