SCRUB CLEARANCE IN THE CAR PARK AND ALONG THE CYCLEWAY AT ALNEY ISLAND
Parking: Headline coordinates are for Alney Island Nature Reserve car park. Please note you can only access it leaving Gloucester westbound, heading towards Highnam and Over.
Where: Meet in the Car Park.
What: We will be continuing the scrub and bramble clearance work carried out during previous CITO events around the perimeter of the Car Park and along the adjacent cycle way.
How: The Countryside Ranger will be there providing guidance and any necessary tools. Please bring work gloves if you have some.
Health and Safety: The session and will be covered by Council insurance as long as you are working under the Countryside Ranger's instruction.
We ask you to bring your own gloves and where appropriate tools, so if you have shears, loppers and secateurs for the clearance please do bring them along. Don't worry if you don't have them as the Ranger will have a supply and will also bring litter pickers and bags.
Please make sure you bring along your own refreshments as it can be thirsty work. Cake will be provided at break time!
