-The weekend of March 17-19, 2023 or just join us for the day on Saturday if you're day tripping.
-Begin your adventure whenever you please. Some arrive in town as early as Thursday. Official event begins Saturday morning.
-This year we will gather at the Comfort Inn and Suites 831 W Main St Building A, Gaylord, MI 49735
-It's a brand new hotel that opened in December of 2021, so according to Google maps satellite view... it appears we're sleeping in the middle of a grass field. Rest assured, the hotel DOES EXIST.
-You can book a room by calling Comfort Inn and Suites at (989)217.9700
-You'll receive our block contracted rate of $xxx/night by using the word GEOCHICKS when you reserve. (We can't post the price due to Geocaching guidelines, please see related web page for more information..
-Everyone brings a small gift for each person to be put in a bag. Everyone will receive a bag of gifts compiled of all the gifts everyone has given.
-Bags can be filled Saturday evening. Gifts can be small and also don't have to be caching related.
-Examples of past gifts have been path tags, candles, homemade jewelry, sweets, stickers, encouraging notes, but really, your imagination is the limit.
-This is really just for fun, don't stress about it.
-Plan on around 40 items, or check the "will attends" number on the cache page for a more accurate count.
-Opening the goodie bags in the evening is like opening your own personally stocked cache!
-We see a wide variety of items on the table - the sky is the limit.
-Complementary tokens for the prize table will be handed out to everyone Saturday evening.
-Please bring 1 or 2 items to place on the table to ensure everyone gets a prize.
-There is a raffle Saturday evening of donated items. These items are typically higher in value ($20+) and many are homemade.
-Tickets are SOLD after we return on Saturday up until the time the raffle numbers are drawn in the evening.
-Please let me know if you have an item we can use for this raffle.
-100% of the monies earned go into putting on this event.
