Geocache Description:

On Veterans Day, November 11, 2002, the Texas State Cemetery unveiled a monument dedicated to nine soldiers from Praha, Fayette County, Texas, who died during World War II.

The small community, which had a population of less than 100 people, lost an entire generation when these men were killed during a 12-month period from February 1944 to February 1945.

The monument is carved from sunset pink granite, the same from which the Capitol was constructed, and includes the names and military affiliations of each soldier and the circumstances surrounding each man's death.

In order to verify your visit to this cache please answer the following question:
On the backside of the monument is a list of the men who gave their lives and where and when they died. What is the date of death of the man at the bottom of the list?

Take the time while here to reflect on what price these men and others like them paid for us to be free.
