How Geocaching Works
Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer
2nd Gathering of the Anchorage area geocachers.
The Anchorage Gathering II will be a dinner at a buffet-style restaurant at the above coord's starting at 6pm on Sunday, November 24th. The first 'Gathering' was held near the Kinkaid chalet in August.
If anyone wants to give their travel bugs a head-start to the lower 48, bring them to the dinner. I will send a package down to a geocaching friend in the Long Beach, CA area. He has agreed to place the bugs in local caches there or in San Diego.
In addition, bring a cache item and we can place a group cache at a future date after the dinner. I was considering keeping Feeding Frenzy around for this, but would have to change out the cache container for something with a bit more room. Or we could decide on a new cache. Maybe do a Christmas gift exchange theme cache?
I believe the cost is around $12 for adults. See you all at the dinner!
(No hints available.)
- Travel BugWe had one 'taker' on the offer to launch a box of travel bugs down to the lower 48. I will probably pull my Supercar bug also to go for the trip.
- Geocacher feeding frenzyThe hardy group that braved the cold, snowy Alaskan winter night (laugh, laugh) to gather together for a nice meal in the company of fellow Geocachers.
- Gathering IIA pre-thanksgiving feast - Geocacher style.
- The Anchorage GeocachersThe group that came together to swap Geocaching war stories and ideas over dinner at the Anchorage Gathering II.
