September's Salix Slaying at Netheridge
CITO 2023 Season 2
Attend a CITO between September 1st and November 30th to earn the Season 2 Souvenir
Parking: There are lots of options for parking, see the relevant waypoints. Rea Lane is very narrow and so if you would prefer not to worry about parking then Sims Lane may be easier, if a bit of a longer walk to get to the meeting point. If you do attempt Rea Lane and find both suggested parking areas are full then you will need to park further up the lane and walk down.
Where: Find us at Suggested Parking 1 waypoiint at 1000, or use the waypointed trail ahead for the main path and then follow that to the headline coords.
What: The task is continuing to clear willow from edge of the lake, this was started last winter and now that nesting season is over we can get back to it!

How: The warden will be there providing guidance. We ask you to bring your own gloves and if you have them tools, so if you have shears, loppers or a saw please do bring them along. Don't worry if you don't have them as the warden will have a supply too, but we will need you to log that you require tools.
There were some branches encroaching into the water by the side of the lake and pond which will also need to be cleared. So if you are feeling adventurous you may wish to bring along your wellies and also waders are an option.
Health and Safety: The session and will be covered by Gloucester County Council insurance as long as you are working under the warden's instruction.
Please make sure you bring along your own refreshments and lunch.
Please do drop by if you have any time to spare, your help is invaluable.
