This event is for cachers who’ve stayed up late at night figuring out a puzzle only to find the final missing. This event is for those of us who have slogged through mosquito infested or tick-ridden thickets only to log that sad, blue frown face. This event is for anyone who spent way to long looking for a cache only to find out other cachers thought its was an easy park and grab.
We’ve all been there and we all share the pain. Let’s get together to lament all those caches that alluded us in 2023. Maybe together we can move forward into a new year of yellow smilies.
You know you love it - even the scratched legs and destroyed shoes and yes, those impossible to find caches. For cachers who want to share in forgiveness of these caches (and their creators), share some secrets on the ones you have found, see friends, old and new, please join me.
By attending this event, you will earn a Farewell to 2023 souvenir.
I will be at the pocket park called Georgetown Park off King Street near the W&OD Trail. I'm bringing some coffee to share until it runs out (or gets too cold.) You can also bring your own warm beverage; there are several wonderful coffee shops in downtown Leesburg, including one right across the street. I've scheduled the event for half an hour but will stay longer if people are still there. In case of poor weather, we'll meet accross King Street under the covered pavilion.
