In 1919, Feilding Agricultural High School (FAHS) was established on 20 acres of land with a brick building. The school commemorates its founding annually in March. Mr. Tolley, a key figure, passed away in 1931. Dr. Wild, FAHS's first headmaster, was a notable geologist and lecturer. The school motto, "Kia Toa Kia Ngakaunui" (Have Courage, Desire Greatly), was given by Sir Hector Booth. The crest, gifted by Sir Peter Buck, features Huia feathers symbolizing chieftainship. FAHS's School Council, the first of its kind in New Zealand, empowers students in decision-making. In 2000, the school was renamed FAHS - Feilding High School to honor its agricultural roots and evolving diversity.
