This cache sits high on the peak at 1651m. Getting to the cache will involve a bike, hike, ski, or gondola depending on the season. The cache is placed to be accessible all year round but heavy snowfall may affect access.

This is one of nine multilateration (MLAT) sites in remote mountainous regions throughout Otago and Southland and provides air traffic controllers with visibility into valleys and behind mountains, areas which are out of the reach of radar surveillance.
